Graveside service for Tyree Simpson, 44, of Salem, AL, will be at 12:00 noon (CST), Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Shiloh #2 A.M.E Zion Church Cemetery, 333 Lee Road 166, Opelika, Alabama 36804, Reverend Benjamin Cannon, Pastor, Bishop Nolan T. Torbert, Eulogist.

Mr. Simpson, who passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his home in Salem, Alabama, was born January 10, 1977, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (CST) (Facial covering is required).

He leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Tamika Russell of Enterprise, AL, Dajah Jackson and Kamarie Simpson both of Fayetteville, NC; father Homer (Barbara) Hodge of Salem, AL; three grandchildren, sister, Tameka S. (Terrance) Johnson of Salem, AL; brother, Jermaine Hodge of Salem, AL; six uncles, Randy (Shelia) Simpson, Henry (Julia) Hodge, Bobby (Rosa Nell) Hodge all of Salem, AL, Harrison Hodge, Jr. of Killeen, TX, Elroy Hodge of Syracuse, NY and David Hodge of Montgomery, AL; four aunts, Janice Simpson of Salem, AL, Clemitine (Cliff) Pearson of Huntsville, AL, Almenda (Maurice) Drake of Alpharetta, GA and Nonie (Posey) Daniels of Montgomery, AL; four great aunts, Mavis Melton, Margie Fears both of Opelika, AL, Lula (Leroy) Toliver of Dallas, TX and Rosa Nell (Bobby) Hodge of Salem, AL; two great uncles, Major Simpson and Lonnie (Julia) Simpson both of Salem, AL; a devoted friend, LaMichael Howard of Salem, AL; two special nieces, Teri Johnson and Taylor Johnson; a nephew, JaQuan Hodge; two nieces, Ionna Tyson and Kamaria Tyson; great-niece, Kari Isabell and Raelend Hodge; cousins and friends.
