Obituary For Veria Dale Moore

Veria Dale Moore, 83, of Walnut- Cove, NC passed November 7, 2021. A public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. -2:30 p.m. Friday November 12,2021 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC with funeral service beginning at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Withers Chapel Church Cemetery, Belews Creek, NC.

Mrs. Veria Dale Smith Moore entered into his eternal rest on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was lovingly called “Dale” by her family and friends. Dale was born in Stokes County, April 9, 1938, to the late Monroe Mitchell and Gertrude Smith Mitchell. She was a lifelong resident of Stokes County. Dale was a homemaker, a laborer and worked in food services at Hillbilly Hide-A-Way Restaurant in Walnut Cove, NC until she retired. She loved to fish day and night!

Veria Dale was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Willard Moore and her son, Gregory Wayne Moore.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: Her son, Herman L. Moore of Walnut Cove, NC; Her two daughters, Sharon (Elbert) Jeffries of Winston-Salem, NC; Vanessa G. Lash of Walnut Cove, NC; Grandchildren: Kevin L. Johnson of Walkertown, NC; Sabrina M. Hopkins of Walnut Cove, NC; Laleeka C. Lash of Winston-Salem, NC; Great-Grandchildren: Logan X. Johnson, Liam B. Johnson, Tre’Shawn J. Hopkins, Sa’Quan D. Hairston, Zion K. Dalton, Le’Land M. Dalton and Kynan Dalton. A special friend: Kathleen Brace and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
