Thanking God for Calvin's life, and thinking of you with sympathy during this difficult time. He was the best friend and neighbor to our Mother....always checking on her, bringing vegetables from his garden, or preparing a special dish. She loved him like a son! He had a special gift for looking out for others. He blessed our memories forever. ❤️The Newman, Haynes, Bryson & Blue Family

Calvin will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful neighbor with the kindest heart, he was generous and thoughtful. He wouldn't just give you a plant -- he would bring it over and dig a hole and plant it for you! He enjoyed so much surprising people with his thoughtfulness. When he catered, he loved sharing his new delicious recipes. He was one of a kind. Rest in Peace my Dear Friend. Mardi Haynes-Jackson and Family

So sorry to hear of the passing of Calvin.Though I didn't see him often, he was always a great conversationalist & I enjoyed chatting w/him in 'offsite' UGA classes or during 'chance'meetings. He loved his daughter/family & always beamed proudly when he told positive stories of them [or when he talked about fishing]. Praying for God's strength/comfort/peace for Andrea/Julian/Shirley,JoAnn, & all family. Keep the sweet memories. Blessings & Love, Charlotte Z Thomas & Family- NYC
