Obituary For John Cade

John Thomas Cade (JT) born January 15,1945, entered eternal rest on November 9, 2021, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. Knoxville, TN.

John retired as an Electrician form Southwestern Railroad. He was a graduate of Austin High School where he was a member of the marching band. As a high school student John made numerous appearance as a soloist Tuba Player. As a kid John grew up on Mulvaney Street and spent numerous hours playing basketball at Cal Johnson Rec. Center. After serving in the US Army, He moved to Boston, MA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Mary Cade. His sisters Annie Bailey and Betty Drake, and brother Eddie L. Cade.

John leaves to cherish his memories, Wife, Von Cade (Boston, MA), daughter, Kathy Henderson, Knoxville, TN. Son, James Brabson. Five Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren (Knoxville,TN). Sisters Euretha (Ira) Yarbrough, Mary Beatty, Octavia (Baffin) Harper, (Knoxville, TN) and Brenda Brown ( Dayton Ohio), Devoted Nephew Elder Ricky Cade ( Knoxville). Devoted Caregiver, Octavia Harper. Host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends to numerous to name.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Community Evangelistic Church (CEC), 2650 Boyds Bridge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37914, with Pastor Reginald Strong, Pastor; Elder Ricky Cade officiating; Bishop Dwight Frazier, Eulogist.

The final resting place will be held at the E. TN Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier) on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. with will conclude with full military honors and a white dove release in his honor.

Mr. Cade will lie in state on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. unitl 5:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.

J.T. was truly a good man and it was my pleasure to take care of him as his nurse at the doctors office where I saw him monthly for some years now.
