Terry Morris and family, I would like to extend prayers and condolences to you and your family in these difficult times. While the world is missing, Heaven is gaining. Valencia and I were often on different sides within the work environment and union struggles but I had the deepest respect for her on any issue because that's what she showed to all who knew her!! While teaming up with her on a Union matter I felt very confident and going against her I felt a little intimidated at times because she was always prepared and professional!! After retiring from the Postal Service she continued to help any employee who asked for her help with representation. I am grateful to have known her and learned from her. She will be missed!! I met Valencia when she and I served in the USAF as air traffic controllers at Sheppard AFB. We served when woman in the military were just becoming accepted. She was smart, had an uncanny sense of humor and could work air traffic around the best of them. We kept in touch off and on over the years and I was blessed to reconnect and host she and Terry when they visited Hawaii in 2018. We seemed to pick up right where we left off. The plan was that she'd be back this year for her birthday. I'm sorry that our Father had other plans for her, but I know she's smiling down on all of us for eternity and that I'll see her again. My sincerest condolences to the family and especially to Terry. She was a special person and you Terry, were her person.
