Obituary For Wallace G. Oliver

Wallace G. Oliver, 71, of Madison, NC passed November 14,2021. A public viewing will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel, Madison, NC and burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery, Madison, NC.

Wallace Glenn Oliver was born in Rockingham County on December 29th, 1949, to the late Floyd Oliver Sr and Sallie Adams Oliver. He departed this life on Sunday, November 14th, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.

‘Red’ or “Huss” as he was known by family and friends attended the former Charles Drew School System. He was employed by the Knight and McCollum families for over 30 years.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers Charlie Oliver, Floyd Oliver, and Larry Oliver, two sisters Ann Oliver Grant and Jacqueline Oliver.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter, Pam Welch; his siblings, Clarice Wall, Ola Hairston, Curtis Oliver, and Stella Oliver; affectionate extended family, Kevin and Miranda Knight, one great uncle, William Bines (Virginia); 5 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives a special friend, Jeffrey Ford and many other cherished friends.
