Shalawn Nicole Jones entered into eternal rest on November 13, 2021. She was born on August 14, 1974 to Kent and Carolyn Jones.

Shalawn attended Spartanburg County Schools. She was a member of the Spartanburg High School Choir.

Nicole was raised in the church and developed a personal relationship with God. Ms. Jones was a member of St. Matthew Full Gospel where she served in the Choir and Usher Board.

She was known as "Candie" and always had a smile that could light up the world. Shalawn had a beautiful singing voice and she loved to sing God Has Smiled on Me. Her favorite gospel group was The Thruthettes.

Ms. Jones also loved fashion, and having a good time with her family. Her favorite color was blue and her favorite movie was The Color Purple.

Left to continue her legacy are: her daughter, Zuri Moring; her grandsons, Jameson Moring and Kyro Byrd; her parents, Kent and Carolyn Jones; her brother, Damon Jones (Teresa); her special friend, Tarrance Powers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.
