Obituary For Robert Cauthen

Mr. Robert James “Buddy” Cauthen departed this life on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was born in Lancaster County, South Carolina on November 7, 1944, to the late Belt T. McIlwain and Ernestine Cauthen Witherspoon.

Buddy was educated in the Lancaster County School System. He was a graduate of Barr Street High School.

Buddy attended One-Fold Church of God in Lancaster, South Carolina.

Buddy was united in holy matrimony to Frances McGee. Buddy leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Frances M. Cauthen of Lancaster, SC; one son, O’Brien Funderburk (Quita) of Lancaster, SC; one daughter, Vanessa Henderson of Wilmington, DE; six sisters, Mary Blanchard of Philadelphia, PA, Sylvia Richardson of Charlotte, NC, Jacqueline Henderson of New York, NY, Veronica Brooks of Fort Mill, SC, Sharon Witherspoon (Ricky) and Susan Witherspoon both of Lancaster, SC; four brothers, Roy Witherspoon of Far Rockaway, NY, June Witherspoon of Jamaica, NY, Donald Cauthen (Patricia) and Timmy Witherspoon (Teresa) all of Lancaster, SC; four grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Louetta McCoy (BJ) and Lottie Profit (Jackie); two brothers-in-law, Mace Green and Marion Green.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Stewart Funeral Home with burial in the IC Clinton Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, South Carolina. Services will be conducted by Reverend Jerusha Gaither and Reverend Kenneth Cauthen.

Viewing will be 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Stewart Funeral Home.
