Aunt Joyce, how special you are. My memories of her are of a strong, beautiful, intelligent, graceful woman with a her heart that knew no bounds. Her smile, her eyes, her laugh and her love for God will be with me always. We are so blessed to have had her in our lives. I bet she is delighted to be with God and Honey. Psalm 23 is a tribute to my beautiful friend, Joyce Liphford. She loved the verses and lived them out in her life. She will always be a wonderful example of a lover and follower of Christ. She taught us so much at Marion Elementary for so many years and anyone whose life she touched. Psalm 23 was a favorite to share with others. Read it 5 times a day for healing in your life was her advice, as she had experienced. We all know she is dwelling in her heavenly home now. Thank you, Lord for placing Joyce in our lives!!!! Prayers for family and friend!! Brenda Munn

I didn't know Joyce as well as well as I knew Joseph. But one thing that I am fully confidence in was her love for ABBA God! Joy comes in the morning! Brother, praying for you and your family!

My deepest condolences to you Joseph, Angel, Portia, and family upon the loss of Joyce. She was a consummate professional and also a precious boss to myself & to others at MES. She was a true Christian friend, as well. Her love for Jesus radiated within her, and she loved to share her faith. The school children were her first priority always. Her constant love, joy, & many times, her compassion exuded from her daily. She could enter any room, & bring a smile to children as well as adults. A trip to "the Principal's Office" was almost a privilege! I am truly proud and blessed that Joyce saw something she liked in me, and hired me the day I interviewed. What a blessing and an honor it always was to be under her guidance and work along side her, as well. Your loving family that Joyce cherished without condition, is in my thoughts & prayers today, and will continue. May God's peace that passes all understanding comfort you at this time. Kim W. Holt

Dearest Joyce, memories of you will remain in my heart forever. You were always a woman of grace and a true child of God. The joy we've shared in that gift of Micah will be with me forever. Rest now in the arms of God. I love you always, grandma Gigi.

I worked with Joyce at Marion School District from 1997 until she retired. I admired her dedication to the students entrusted to her care and the joy with which she did her job. My prayers are with her family. She will be missed. Rest in peace. Timothy L. Taylor

Joyce hired me 20 years ago as a teacher at Marion Elemenary. She loved her staff and guided me through some difficult times with love, wisdom and respect. The love for all her students was evident each and every day. My favorite memory is the "grandmother" shower we gave her at MES. The overwhelmimg joy radiated with each present opened, but the gift from god (a baby) was the best. I will keep the family in my prayers. Tara Henry

Joyce and I worked together for over three decades as fellow educators. Loving on children and seeing that their needs were put first and met was her passion. Joseph, Angel, and Portia, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss my sweet friend.

I have so many memories of Joyce. She was a much loved and respected member of the Marion School District. Working with her was always a pleasure. Joyce was truly a steel magnolia----a true Southern lady with a strong will. She loved her husband and family fiercely, put God first and lived her life accordingly. I am honored to have known her and to have been her friend.

Joyce, my sister and my dear friend. My life will never be the same without you in it. Over 15 years and possibly more, you were my pew partner during Sunday Services. We've shared so many moments and memories together. Too many to mention. We've Laughed and cried together. You were my mentor. That "go to" person for answers. I was blessed by your wisdom which helped to shape me into the person who I am today. I thank God for allowing us to cross paths. I cannot say goodbye,Joyce. What I will say is, until we meet again on that glorious day! Love, Sister Annie Glenn

My spiritual twin. You are showing me how to rejoice in the mist of grieving. I rejoice because you have finished the race and now dwell in the house of the LORD. I grieve because I miss my spiritual twin, and Annie misses her sister. Our tears continue to flow. Thank you twin for so many wonderful moments. In time, I'll see you on the other side. Lodean L.
