She supported me when I brought nursing students to the floor and encouraged our involvement with every aspect of patient care . I am deeply saddened by the loss of this wonderful person and NURSE. She cared deeply about the patients, her staff and the hospital. She was respected by all- staff, superiors and doctors. Dean never backed down from a challenge, she met it head on and lead others to succeed. She was one of a kind and I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to know her and work with her. Love you Dean! You are the epitome of a NURSE! RIP with Duck. Kaye

My memory that I will always remember is her love & passion for Gardening. It brought her joy & peace. The Love for her Children, Grand Children, and Family. The love & Joy she shared in the stories that she shared. It strengthened and brightened her spirit to do so. The love of leading the Choir of her beloved Mayo Missionary Baptist Church, Because of the Harmony in that Choir. I would share with her songs & music, that I thought they could sing, because the Anointing of song was in all the Choirs, and the Holy Spirit filled the Congregation, when I would take my late husband Mr. Harry Wilford Scales. Those are the precious memories I will always hold in my heart. And this is how I will always remember her. A true Worship Leader. Sister Deborah Hill-Brown Scales
