Sharon Baskerville, Pastor INTERMENT: Church Cemetery VIRGINIA NORVEL HANSARD EVANS was born December 5, 1935 to her parents the late General and Mary Sue Stone Hansard. She is preceded in death by her husband- Lawrence Evans, son-in-love, Sandy Faulk and her grandson- Jabrelle Faulk; her sisters- Geneva, Phyllis, Mildred, Shirley and Jean; brothers- Douglas, Erasmus and Robert. Norvel, which she preferred, grew up in Union Level, VA. She attended and graduated from Thyne Institute, Chase City, VA in 1953. Norvel became a member of Bloom Hill Baptist Church at young age. Working diligently through the years in many positions such as the President of the Choir, Church Treasurer, member of the Missionary Board, the Anniversary Board and Mother of the Church. She loved her times at church singing God’s praises and fellowshipping with all who attended. She worked many years at Lake Manufacturing sewing garments for several companies. As a teacher’s aide and a special need car driver for Mecklenburg County Public School, she found her dream job. Norvel loved all the children she encountered and had many stories to share with her family. She was a dedicated and loving mother to her daughter- Alison Faulk; son- Dennis (Elizabeth) Evans; grandmother to Eric (Lesley) Wade, Jonathan (Gabrielle) Wade, James Faulk, Tierra Redd, Kourtney Logan and T’onna Logan; great grandma to Eric Jr., Jaxon, Ryan and Tatiana Wade, Jaeshawn and Brandon Faulk, Mia Wesley, Kaleb Clary and Jaden Richardson. She is survived by her sisters- Patricia Williams and Bessie Dortch; her brother- Dwight (Shannon) Hansard; her sister-in-love, Barbara Hansard, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Being that she NEVER met a stranger, she will also be missed by several friends and extended family. We ask all attendees to please wear a mask.
