Obituary For Wendell Mackey

Wendell Mackey, 54, departed this life on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Wendell was born December 9, 1966, in Lancaster County South Carolina. He was the son of the late Leon Mackey and Dorothy Mae Johnson Mackey. He was married to Priscilla McCain Mackey.

Wendell attended Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Wendell was educated in the Lancaster County School System. He was a 1986 graduate of Lancaster High School.

Left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife, Priscilla Mackey of Heath Springs, SC; three sons, Wendarius M. Mackey and Jaylen D. Mackey of Heath Springs, SC and David T. Mackey of Lancaster, SC; one daughter, Ja'Niya L. Mackey of Heath Springs, SC; four brothers, Leon L. Mackey Jr. of Lancaster, SC, Lee A. (Vonnie) Mackey of Charlotte, NC, Johnathan Catledge of Chester, SC, and Andrew Mickles of Lancaster, SC; one sister, Jennifer Catledge of Winnsboro, SC; two uncles, Gary (Jessica) Mackey and Ira (Mary) Johnson, Jr.; three aunts, Marcie Holmes, Doretha Massey (Frank) and Lillie Mae (Jerry) Cunningham.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Services will be conducted by Reverend Otis Lathan and Reverend LaVilla Brevard.

Viewing will be 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the funeral home.
