Deaconess Pearlie Mae Blakeney,76, departed this life on Friday, November 19, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Eva Mae Threatt and was born on October 19, 1945, in Chesterfield County South Carolina. Pearlie was married to the late James “Buddy” Blakeney.

Pearlie was educated in the public schools of Chesterfield County. She was a 1964 graduate of Petersburg High School.

Pearlie retired from Ti-Caro Knitt.

Pearlie leaves to cherish loving memories two sons, Alvin Blakeney (Betsy) of the home and Danny Clyburn of Monroe, NC; two daughters, Polly Baxter of Lancaster, SC and Jane Louallen of Lancaster, SC; two Godsons, Wilbert Nivens (Sheryl) of Wingate, NC and Curt Nivens of Indian Trail, NC; three brothers, Billy J. Threatt (Blondell) of Pageland, SC, Leroy Threatt and Frankie Threatt (Roxie) both of Monroe, NC; two sisters, Phyllis Obasi of Monroe, NC and Maebell Parker (James) of Marshville, NC; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services of Commendation will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Rose Hill Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Dr. Waldo Robinson.
