Deborah was educated by Gaston County School. She was a graduate of Holbrook High School, Lowell, North Carolina. Deborah had a variety of positions within the textile and manufacturing industries. She was a member of Greater Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where she was a member of the Missionary and Gospel Choir. Deborah was a Prayer Warrior and Intercessor. In her leisure, she enjoyed being around water, traveling, shopping, finding a good deal, assisting her daughter with events, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; James Cornelius Duff and Levada Hoke Hannibal, her sister; Ann Duff Carter, and her brother; Wilson Hannibal, Jr.
Fond memories of Deborah are left in the heart of those who loved her most: her son, Quintin Hoke, daughter; Nikki Black (Dwayne), sisters; Barbara Brannon (Larry), Darlene Coore (Colin), brothers; Taft Duff) Cynthia), Richard Hannibal, six grandchildren, several aunts and uncles, a host of nieces nephews, extended family and friends.
