Obituary For Bernell Hawkins

Mr. Bernell "Whipp" Hawkins, 59, of Radcliff, died on November 22, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin.

Mr. Hawkins was a native of Thibodaux, LA and the son of the late Oscar and Aldena Hawkins. He was a member of the Morning Star Baptist who had a passion for cooking for his family and friends in the community. m

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eloise Shortridge; two brothers, Lionell Hawkins Jr. and Oscar Hawkins, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Brown Hawkins of Radcliff, KY; one stepson, Nigel Lacey of Radcliff, KY; two brothers, Ray Hawkins (Patricia) of Jonesboro, GA and Murphy Hawkins (Evelina) of Thibodaux, LA; two sisters, Joyce Turner (Bobby) of Thibodaux, LA and Ruby Hawkins of Labadieville, LA; one aunt, Beulah R. Bolt and his godmother, Diana R. Milton of Thibodaux, LA; three brothers-in-law, Jessie, Donnie and Robert Brown and five sisters-in-law, Genevia D. Hawkins, Diane P. Tyler of Thibadaux, LA; Melvina Walker, Tynessa Brown and Zinda Brown of Radcliff,KY along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Shayne Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 am.
