Obituary For Oscar W. Perry Jr.

Oscar W. Perry was the best father a son could ever ask for. He was a cancer survivor and a humble man of GOD. Oscar was born on July 22, 1936 to Oscar Perry Sr and Ms. Jessie Perry in Gainesville, FL. He has two sons. Dr. Antony Perry of New York and Mark Perry of Orlando. He has two lovely granddaughters, Morgan and Madison Perry. Oscar went on to glory on November 12th. He was preceded in death by brothers Ermitt of the Bronx, Alexander of Jacksonville, Glenwood of Gainesville, George of Gainesville, Edward of Jacksonville, and sister Nancy Lee of Micanopy. Uncle Junior, as his nieces and nephews called him, graduated from the (FAMU) Florida A&M School of Pharmacy and served four years in the United States Air Force. He was a dedicated pharmacist for over 30 years at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Manatee Memorial Hospital, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, and Eckerd Drugs. Oscar was an avid bowler and a diehard Florida Gator. Mr. Perry will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery on Monday, December 13th at 10:45am. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
