Mr.Eugene Posey,69, Of Gadsden, passed away on November 24, 2021. Eugene “PeeWee” Posey, born July 21, 1952, Etowah County. Eugene the third born child to the late parents Adam Dan (A.D.) Posey and Susie Mary Miree Posey. He attended Gadsden City School system graduating 1972 from Emma Sansom High School. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and was baptized under leadership of Reverend Mallory, Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. In later years, after his first marriage he then united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership Pastor Willie J. Sayles, Jr. He departed this life, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Gadsden Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by Alonzo, Eddie, Leontine, Kenny Wayne, Charles E, Michael T. His favorite hobby was fishing with his brother (Eddie), and enjoying his work. Eugene believed in being committed to his employer. For many years he worked for great Corporations such as: Merita/ Flowers Bakery Pilgrim Pride / Gold Kist KTH Leesburg, AL

He was united in marriage to Joyce L. Woods for fifteen years. To this union bore a blended family of seven children. He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Joyce L. Posey, Seven children: Earnest Eugene, Gadsden, AL, Anthony L. Posey, Janell I. Posey, Angela D. (James) Posey-Williams, Birmingham, AL, Cedrick (Sylvia Louise) Woods, Kelvin Woods, Ulandaus Woods, all of Gadsden, AL. Grand Children a total of eleven , four great grands , one brother Robert L. Posey, Birmingham, AL, Mother in law, Martha Hall, Gadsden, AL, Sister in laws Gladys McGlothin, , Margaret Hall, both of Cleveland Ohio, Sharon Hall, Gadsden, AL, Brother in laws: Bobby Lindsey, Jimmy (Janice) Hall, both of Gadsden, AL, Bruce (Tracie)Hall, Mesquite, TX. Aunts: Rebecca Miree, Chattanooga TN, Mary Lee, Detroit MI, Uncles: Minuet(Thelma) Lee, Petersburg, VA, David (Betty) Miree, Chattanooga TN, Nieces: Takesha (Barry) Mostella, Madison, AL , Christy Garrison, Birmingham, AL, and 11 others from the blended family. Public viewing will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1pm-6pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D. Robinson Chapel) at 11:00am. Eulogist: Pastor Z' Andre Huff Interment: Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
