There was never one, nor will there be one like Kim. Despite being accomplished, she was humble. She sought to pour into others. Her impact on others will last forever. Love you and the family. Katina Evans

Kim will be greatly missed. You don't come across people everyday who want the best for others. I worked under Kim for 2 years in the digital automotive space as a market manager and in so many of my leadership conversations with Kim, she went out of her way to advise me on the best way to handle or think about situations, that would ultimately better my career today and in the future. Kim is loved by me and again, will be greatly missed! Keith Holmes

Kim was one of the first people to reach out and welcome me when I joined Pearson. She was a mentor and a guiding light for all those who were blessed to be in her presence. Her lasting impact will not be forgotten by so many and I am so grateful for the example she has shown us. My deepest condolences go out to her family during this time.

While our time together at Pearson was brief, she left a lasting impact on so many of us. She brought joy, confidence, and wisdom to our Bold community and I am personally grateful for the example she has shown me by being her amazing self! My heart goes out to her family during this time. Please know that she continues to impact the world, as I donated to Black Girls Grow in her memory and will be planting a yellow rosebush in spring.

Kim, We were Sorors, girlfriends, confidants,Road dawgs and talked every day of our "single" lives. I learn so much from you and our "when we get a husband" conversations. That when we each finally did get a Blessing from God we lost contact I am grateful to have spent time with you. You have a beautiful family. You know EJ was born on my Birthday.😊 God is so Good. Love and Miss you, Donna McNally King Mu Xi Spring 1986

Kim and I met as Freshmen in the dorms at Winthrop. She was a true friend and a joy to be around. I am so thankful that we met, became great friends, sorority sisters and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. So grateful that we were able to stay in contact throughout the years. I will cherish our friendship and will keep the memories alive in my heart. I love you my sister. Rest in Jesus. To her family I send my sincere condolences and prayers for strength and peace. May God bless all of you. Cynthia Lanham Conway

I only had the opportunity to know Kim for a couple of years but from the moment I met her, she impacted me in a way few people have before. She was passionate, positive and absolutely a wonderful person. I swear she knew someone in every city we held a meeting in so I can only imagine just how many people she touched and how much better the world is because of her.

My condolences to the family. It is with deep sorrow that I share in your grief. Kim was such a precious person you could feel her spirit as she approached you with a smile on her face. May the lord be with you Tory and family. Love and peace Beverly Bethea McRae.

Kim gave me my start in newspapers back in 1998. I worked as an intern for her at Clover and York ... within a couple of months, she gave me a lead on my first newspaper job. Then, a couple of years later, she gave me a job when I was having a hard time getting back into the newspaper business after an absence. So it isn't too much to say that she helped me start my career three times! I wouldn't be who I am today without the trust and faith she had in me. As often happens in life, I haven't spoken with her in years except for the occasional LinkedIn message. Despite that, the news of her passing breaks my heart. She was an amazing leader and a strong advocate. I'm so thankful for the role she played in my life.

I will miss you my forever friend. The world is a little dimmer without your insightful, kind, intelligent, funny, beautiful ray of light.

Our deepest condolences to Kim's family and friends in Arizona, and her sister, and nieces and nephews, as well as her sister friend, Andrea Butler, here in Spartanburg. We were acquainted by way of Andrea "Polly" and SHS. I empathize with you brothers and sisters in Christ, as did Jesus with Martha and Mary. And while Kim is no longer here with us, still she rises ...in the bosom and comfort of the Father. Rest on precious Kim, rest on. Peace and Love, Tina Fowler Smith and Min. Dennis Smith
