Obituary For Lawrence Stafford Perry

Lawrence Stafford Perry, 68, of Madison, NC passed November 27,2021. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel, Madison, NC with burial following at Eden Garden Cemetery, Eden, NC.

On Saturday, November 27, 202, Lawrence Stafford Perry was reunited in heaven with his mother and father, whom he adored so much.

Stafford was born October 22, 1953 in Rockingham County to the late Lee S. Perry, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Dillard Perry. He attended the former Charles Drew School and graduated from Madison-Mayodan Sr. High School in 1971. Stafford also attended Fayeteville Technical Institute. In his early years he was an avid tennis player. He was employed at Fieldcrest Cannon and Ralph Lauren where he retired. Stafford was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Madison, NC.

Stafford was humble and an easy- going person, who was friendly to everyone he met. He was a die- hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team and Wake Forest basketball team.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his brother; Lee S. Perry, Jr., sisters; Arvelia Martin (Arthur), Shelia Mosley (Jeff). A very special and devoted friend; Carol Minor, also his best friend for years, Curtis “Red” Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Lawrence. He definitely was loved here at Ralph Lauren such a kind man, always had a smile on his face and his brim hat on as he walked smoothly to his department!! He will be missed. To the Perry family, It was hard watching Mr. Lawrence retire from the RL family but he and we knew it was time. It was very hard learning of his passing. He was a kind man with a gentle sole who loved music. I am very sorry for your lose but rest assure he's in a better place. We loved and still miss Mr.Lawrence.
