Obituary For Ms. Paula Renee Dumas

An Eclipse of Light describes the passing of Paula Renee Dumas. Paula was born on September 18, 1981 to the parentage of the late Mr. Robert T. Dumas, Sr. and Mrs. Brenda Robinson Dumas. Paula had an outgoing personality that made her loveable. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed parenting her children. Her passion was cooking and taking her children on adventures. At an early age, Paula joined the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Barnesville, GA, where she remained a member until the church was disbanded. She graduated from Lamar County Comprehensive High School with the Class of 2000. She served in the U. S. Army for four years. She attended various colleges in pursuit of an advance education to provide for her and her family. Paula was an astute businesswoman. She was an entrepreneur who founded her own start-up company, Paula’s First Aid & CPR. She was a certified Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instructor and trainer. She completed training and was employed as both a surgical technician and phlebotomist. Paul was proceeded in death by her father and her grandparents. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Her sudden departure has brought profound grief and sadness to her family, loved ones, and friends. Paula leaves to cherish her memory two children, a son, Rasheed L. Dumas, and, a daughter, Renee Horton of Barnesville, GA; her devoted mother, Brenda Robinson Dumas of Barnesville, GA; three brothers, Paul Ellerby, Jr., Robert T. Dumas, Jr., and Dominique Dumas all of Barnesville, GA; a loving and devoted sister, April Dumas of Thomaston, GA; five nieces, Kierra Ellerby, Dierra Ellerby, Emerald Dumas, Ava Walker, and Jametrice Hosley; two nephews, Alandro Jackson and Amari Perkins; great-nieces, Heaven Ellerby, Ensleigh Ellerby, and Kaylynn Grant; great-nephews, Legend Burden, Loyal Burden, and Logic Burden; five aunts, Thelma Watkins of Barnesville, GA, Mary Jenkins of Miami Gardens, FL, Shirley (Jimmie) Wyche of College Park, GA, Sharon (Larry) Bibb of Montgomery, AL, and Linda (Andrew) Carroll of Mableton, GA; three uncles, Melvin Robinson, Sr. of Mableton, GA, John (Gwendolyn) Robinson, and William (Wanda) Robinson of Barnesville, GA; two great-uncles, Merrill (Mattie) Smith of Milner, GA and George Smith of Barnesville, GA; one great aunt, Rosa Smith of Cleveland, OH; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Graveside Services were held Saturday, December 4, 2021 1:00 P.M. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery
