Tallahassee - John R. Haugabrook, 90, of Tallahassee, FL passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Graveside service will be 12:00 (Noon) Saturday, December 4, 2021 at St. Paul AME Church Cemetery, (Chaires) 9469 Road to the Lake Rd Tallahassee, Florida 32317. You may view the Service on Youtube at https://youtu.be/uKLpA8xWqm4.

Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Strong & Jones Funeral Home, Inc.

John was a graduate of Florida A&M College in 1958 and received his Master's Degree at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN in 1965. He worked as a business and healthcare executive for over 32 years in the Tallahassee and the Chicago, Illinois area. He moved back to Tallahassee in 1990 and became heavily involved in the community and his beloved FAMU. He was a member of St. Paul AME Church, Tallahassee, FL.

Survivors include his two children, Kathy Haugabrook and Karen Haugabrook; one granddaughter, Nia Haugabrook Evans; four siblings, Ed Haugabrook (Vera), James Haugabrook (Georgia), Fannie Haugabrook and Dorothea Downing (Jean).

His wife, Ivradell Ward Haugabrook preceded him in death.
