On November 17, 2021 the book of life was closed for Joanne Martin and she received her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Hills; stepfather, Alfonso Hills.
Joanne Martin is survived by her husband, Wallace Martin of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Marquette Campbell, Devera Martin, and Alichia Martin of Fort Pierce, FL; father, Charlie Hawkins; mother, Gerlean Beachem; brothers, Bobby “Hawkins” Williams(deceased), Walter “Pete” Freeman, Anthony Hills(deceased), Jerome Hills, Sr., and Jose “Peto” Santana of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Francene “Hawkins” Johnson of Clewiston, FL and Queeny Sanatana of Bradenton, FL; sister-in-law, Diane Freeman; her grandchildren, Keymora Campbell, Chakanno Melton, Kaniya Melton, and Jerod Icon, Jr.; total of 20 nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
Public visitation for Joanne Martin will take place on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 2:30pm. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
