Mary Helen Johnson, 84, of Richmond, departed this life November 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hattie Johnson and son, Richard Johnson. Surviving are her children, Vanessa James, Clarice Johnson, Denise Johnson, Maurice Johnson, Avis Johnson Winston and Venus Halbert; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Holloway; brothers, Larry Heckstall and Harry Heckstall; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
