Obituary For Jewel Lee Perry

Jewel Lee Ivey Perry was born on September 5, 1958 to Louis Ivey Jr. and Lula Mae Ivey Peoples. She received her education in the Putnam county public schools. In 2000 she was joined in holy matrimony to Herbert Perry. Jewel labored with McDonald’s Corporation for over 20 years and she excelled into a managerial position. In March 1994 she joined Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida and subsequently was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Lee E. Harris. Jewel served with the Food Pantry ministry auxiliary and also taught Sunday school. She was a good and faithful servant of the Lord. Jewel answered the Master’s call and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 4, 2021. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kinney Ivey and Terry Ivey; Stepsisters, Mary Jackson Goss, Mary Frances Myles and Margaret Cobb; and stepbrother, Woodrow Jackson She leaves behind to cherish her memories: Daughter, Lashonda Green; Son, Jerry Lee Green; Sisters, Avis (Harold) Fields, Caroline Sharp, Hattie Brady, Jonita Cherry, Shirley Jackson, Angie Graham and Annette (Eddie) Walton, JLa Bartley, Pairlee Andrews: Brothers, Arthur (Lisa) Godfrey, Ronald Ivey, Larry (Johnny Mae) Ivey, Leroy Jackson, Robert Jackson, Willie Jackson and Jaufuees (Martha) Peoples Jr.; Aunts, Sally Epps, Penny Cooke and Virginia Epps Harris; Uncles, Enoch Epps, Emitt Epps, Nathaniel Epps, and George Epps Jr.; Grandchildren, Davonta (Aluia) Green, Shonteria (Cody) Green, Donisha Allen and Deshawn McDuffie; 9 Great-grandchildren, Godparents, Pastor Lee E. and Betty Harris; Godchild, Hope Ferrell; Godsister, Jonita Cherry; Longtime friend, Mattie Reid; and a host of extended relatives and sorrowing friends.
