Obituary For Beatrice E. Ingram

On Monday, December 6, 2021, God in His Infinite wisdom saw fit to call from labor to reward Evangelist Beatrice E. Ingram. Born September 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late David R. Hylton and the late Dorothy Mae Clark Hylton.

In addition to her parents, Evangelist Ingram was preceded in death by her brother, James A. Hylton.

Evangelist Ingram was a member of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ under the leadership of Bishop Eugene E. Ramos, Sr. whom she loved dearly. She was the Church Mother, served on the Kitchen Committee, Usher Board, and sang with the Praise Team.

Evangelist Ingram leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Brenda (Felix) Craighead, Crystal Ingram, and Violet (Gerald) Gallant all of Martinsville, VA, Debra (Tracy) Holloman of Waterbury, CT, Terri Simmons of Hopkins, SC, and Rhonda Hamlett of Ridgeway, VA; three sons, Lester Smith of Hopkins, SC, Ronald (Laveka) Ingram of Martinsville, VA, and Cain Ingram of Greensboro, NC; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Smith, Dorothy Reynolds and Beluah Barbour all of Martinsville, VA, Annie Reynolds of Stella, VA, and Wanda Dixon of Axton, VA; two brothers, Lawrence Hylton of Critz, VA, and Ricky Hylton of Ridgeway, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 11:30 until the time of the service at Mt Nebo Holiness Church, 30598 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Spencer, VA. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. at the church with Bishop Tracy Holloman, Eulogist. Burial will follow at the former Mt. Nebo Holiness Church Cemetery, 739 Trent Orchard Rd., Patrick Springs, VA. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required. All other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Felix Craighead, 536 Chatmoss Court Ext., Martinsville, VA.
