Robert Marshall Hairston

Knoxville - Robert Marshall Hairston of Knoxville Tn., passed away @ his home peacefully due to on going medical complications on December 01, 2021. He also battled Parkinson's Disease as well.

Robert grew up in Knoxville TN. He became a successful self employed Electrical Contractor for over 30 plus years in Knoxville TN. He was a graduate of Austin High Class of 1965. He will always be remembered as a loving and respected Father.

Robert was predeceased by his loving wife Bealma Hairston and parent's Robert Hairston Sr., & Margret Reed, Step-son's Abe Nichols & William (Henry) Nichols.

Robert is survived by his son's Robert (Maneau) Hairston lll, Joe (Tonya) Hairston, & daughters Robbin Hairston, Christie (Milton) Steele of Knoxville TN, Step-daughter Pamela (Douglas) Taylor of Madison AL. And a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the residence of 2415 Sable Point Lane, Knoxville, TN 37924.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, December 10, 2021 with the receiving of friends to begin at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the service to begin 11:00 a.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Sanford Miller officiating.

The final resting place will immediately follow at the Sherwood Memorial Gardens where a dove release will conclude in his honor.

Mr. Hairston will lie in state on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.

Mr. Harrison was a professional electrician who did excellent work. He was also a very nice man. My husband and I wanted to send our condolences to the family. Bob and Cathy Bailey.

Dear Family Marshall as we called him was my first cousin. He was always a gentle soul with a kind word and smile. He was such a great help to my mom after the passing of my father. Nobody will know me here, but I was a friend with Robert. I worked in the electrical business, too. I worked for electrical suppliers and later, The Home Depot. I sold Robert a lot of supplies. I never met a nicer man. Christian man. This was obvious. Excellent, well-trained electrician. If Robert did it, it was right. If Robert said it, it was the truth. Tim Moore
