Ms. Lawanda Ross passed away on December 4, 2021.

Lawanda "Nisha" Ross born to the late Samuel L. Jackson and (present) Deborah L. Ross.

Nisha was born on July 10, 1975, in Far rockaway, New York. Nisha became a loving mother of 5 children, and she was also a protector of her children as she experienced the joys of nurturing them and guiding them through life. Always a very outspoken person Nisha loved to express joy to everyone and had a passion for cooking. Many of her family members and friends would admire her for her deluxe specialty dish "Mac & cheese".

Nisha leaves behind her boutique "Totally You Fashions", which she worked hard to make it a success. It will continue to live on throughout her kids. Her outgoing party vibe and dance moves will be missed and forever remembered. Bright as the smile she would carry with her, along with her dreamy eyes that would reel you in, and would always draw you near her heart.

Nisha is survived by her children, Tysean Ross, Destiney Windley, Shawana (Asia) Ross, Deante Hickman & Anika Hickman. Followed by her grandchildren Milan Isley, Nyrie Ross, Ailani Ross, Ayden Carter & Alayah Carter, her Grandmother Mary Enoch, her aunts Roslyn Ross, Barbara Ross, Myra Ross, and Uncle Curtis Ross. Her siblings Shawana Ross, Shameeka Williams, Daiquan Bond, and the late Nathan Ross. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends that will truly be inspired by her life and legacy.

We sincerely and humbly thank God for allowing us the time on earth that we shared together. We pray the gates open in Heaven and she will rejoice as a servant in Heaven.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 3:30 pm in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 3 pm.
