Obituary For Helen Deloris Timmons

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Helen D. Timmons of 144 Railroad Street, Alapaha, Georgia, who departed this life on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her residence, will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Alapaha Gymnasium on Hwy 82 West in Alapaha, Georgia. Burial will follow in the West Fletcher Cemetery in Alapaha, Georgia. Viewing/Visitation will he held on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Alapaha Gymnasium in Alapaha, Georgia. At the request of the family, services will not be viewed Facebook Live nor video streamed.

Mrs. Helen Deloris Timmons was born on November 22, 1952, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank, Sr., and Deloris Taylor Banks.

Helen attended Forrest Street Elementary School in Jacksonville, Florida and Berrien County High School in Nashville, Georgia.

Helen gave her life to Christ and joined the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Johnny Grady.

Helen was employed at Fitzgerald Underwear Textile Company in Tifton, Georgia for over twenty-five years.

On December 8, 2021, Our beloved Helen gave up this busy walk of life at her home surrounded by her family. Her parents and five brothers have all preceded her in death.

Helen leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Stephen (Marisa) Banks of Texas, Tramaine (Carla) Adkins of Alapaha, Georgia; a daughter, Cameterius Lott (Vincent) Grimes of Alapaha, Georgia; seven grandchildren , Shyan Banks, Shana Banks, Nyia Banks, Jasmine Banks, Jade Banks, Caleshia Grimes, Danielle Grimes; two great grandchildren, Ryan Neal, Zamori Watson; four siblings, Elvis Banks, Virginia Banks, Greg (Gail) Hall, Sr., Robin (Tyrone, Sr.) Hill; and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Constant care was given by two special caregivers, Ebonie Thomas of Adel, Georgia, and Jacqueline Barnes of Fitzgerald, Georgia.
