On April 22, 1962, Reggie was born to Ada Smith Tyson and Robert Lee Tyson Sr. in Stanly County, North Carolina.
Reggie gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Ansonville, North Carolina.
Reggie graduated from Bowman High School in Wadesboro, North Carolina with the Class of 1980. He worked many years at Square D in Monroe, North Carolina before becoming disabled.
He leaves to Cherish his wife of 15 years, Marjorie, of the home. A beloved daughter, Jasmine Kersey, son, Jaden Malone, and grandson, Jace Kersey, whom he loved with all his heart. His parents, Robert Lee Tyson Sr. and Ada Smith Tyson. Three brothers, Robert Tyson Jr., William Lep Turner, and Tim Turner. Two sisters, Debbie T. McLendon (Angelous) and Rasheda McLendon Nicholson (James).
Also left to Cherish his memories, nine nieces; eight nephews; one uncle, Jesse Smith (Eleanor) of Hartford, Connecticut; four aunts, Addie Mae Robinson, Valerie Tyson, Gail Allen, and Brenda Goode; one brother-in-law, Gary Williams (Patricia); one sister-in-law, Dianne Pratt.
Reggie had a large amount of very close and special friends. Each one carried a special place in his heart.
The Homegoing Services were held on Monday, December 27, 2021, 12:00pm, Smith’s Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment followed the service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Ansonville, North Carolina.
