It is with sadness and joy I share my comments about my friend. I met Ephreim in 1979. I was seeing bing in my first year as mayor of Talladega. I hired him as an administrative assistant during the Ceta program. When the program ended, he was such an impressive, personal people person, I created a permanent position. He left the city to go to work for Alabama power. I have never met a more loyal dedicated employee than Epheriem Stockdale. His God blessed talent not only applied to his singing and directing a choir, but to his involvement in his church capacity The joy I have, is God sent an Angel and shared with Ephreium that he had fought a good fight, he had kept the faith and now his race was over. I can invision my friend, directing the Heavenly Choir, as they sing, it's Shouting Time in Heaven.
