Darnell, Nute, and James, I am so sorry about the loss of your mother. The last time I saw her, I was knocking on the front door of her house looking for Darnell, (I live out of state and was in town) and she came out the side door and threw me a look like "Who is this white boy knocking on my door?"..lol. We shared some laughs and talked about our time on the Morningside playground and at TKS playing basketball. She was always there for the kids and I'm sure you will miss her. Saw her in the stands quite often.

Family of Julia, Your mom was a wonderful Christian lady. I had the pleasure of attending bible study with her at Ireland Army Hospital back in the late 80's. She was so warm and kind and we enjoyed that time every Wed at lunch. Mary Ames

I still use Mrs. Haire's turkey salad recipe!, when I asked her for it she just chuckled and she didn't have it written down that she just threw it together and I was on my own when it came to measure it out.
