Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30th, at the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo, TX, with Clinton Conyers, Rev. Ronnie Conyers and Pastor Mark McBride officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain Creek Cemetery in Saint Jo.
Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service on Thursday, at the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo.
Cecil was born September 6, 1925 in Saint Jo, TX to John and Anna (Benson) Conyers. He graduated from Saint Jo High School, and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Following the war he moved back to Saint Jo, and married Mildred King on Dec. 27, 1947 in Gainesville, TX. Cecil farmed and ranched for awhile, and later went to work for the Nocona Boot Company and retired with 25 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Cecil was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo, and served as Deacon. He will be remembered with love and appreciation for being a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred Conyers, grandson Robert Conyers and brothers Loyd Conyers and Joe Conyers.
Cecil is survived by his sons Clinton Conyers and wife Renee of Bowie and Ronnie Conyers and wife Susan of Callisburg, TX; grandchildren Christopher Conyers and wife Brandi of Bowie, Eric Conyers and wife Kayla of Bowie and Casey Conyers and wife Janeice of Decatur, TX; great-grandchildren Christian Conyers, Tytus Conyers, Bryant Conyers, Briggs Conyers, Brooke Conyers, and Harlan Conyers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made in honor Cecil to the First Baptist Church of Saint Jo.
