Lola Mae Cheek Ladson, 56, of Yemassee, passed from earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in the Bayview Manor, Beaufort, SC. Lola Mae Cheek Ladson was born March 18, 1965, in New York to Mr. Harvey Britton and Ms. Lola Cheek. As a child Lola move to Yemassee, SC with her adoptive parents the late Janie and Urel Ritter. She was educated in the public schools of Hampton County South Carolina and was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School, Varnville, SC. She studied computer technology at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, Beaufort, SC. For numerous years, she was employed in Hilton Head Island as a computer technician. Later, she would manage the Sunoco Convenience Shop, Ridgeland, SC. Mrs. Ladson confessed her faith in the Lord and was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Barkersville, South Carolina. She is proceeded in death by her parents and by her husband Sam Ladson. She leaves to mourn her children Lee Fennell and Edward Fennell, Yemasee, SC, Crystal Seabrook, Summerville SC, Michael Shaw, London, Canada and Brittany (Maurice) Brown, Ridgeland, SC; 11 grandchildren; her sister, Denise Cheek, New York; her caregivers, Mr. Henry (Pete)Conner, Ms. Christina Green and Mrs. Margie R. Fennell along with a host of family.
Service of Farewell will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, three o'clock pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted in compliance with CDC guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic, facial coverings and social distance. The family is forever blessed by your prayers and thoughtful acts of consideration and kindness.
