Nathaniel Ivey Hager, Jr. was born in Gaston County, NC on October 22, 1972 to Nathaniel Ivory Hager, Sr and the late Esther Lee Meeks. He transitioned from this earthly home on Friday; December 17, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, North Carolina.

Nathaniel was educated in the Gaston County School System. Nathaniel or “Nate” as he was affectionately called, loved taking in nature. He was a fan of WWE smack down wrestling, listening to reggae music and was a great cook. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Esther Lee Meeks.

Nate leaves precious memories to his father: Nathaniel Ivey Hager, Sr.; his brothers: Charles Anthony Hager, Sr., Terrell Alexander Hager, Sr., and Christopher Jerome Hager; his sisters: Sharon Denise Hager-Lowery and Erica Nicole Hager; nieces and nephews: Terrell Hager, Jr., Jasmine Hager, Quantasha Poston, Christopher Poston, Ziquila Smith, Aquila Smith, Cyriana Hager, Tamiah Rogers, Taniah Rogers, Jacier Rogers, Charles Hager, Jr., Amari Hager and Sharik Lowery; aunts: Ruby Clark, Vicky Meeks Clinton, and Ann Hager Mitchell, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be Saturday; January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Gregory Funeral Service Chapel, Gastonia
