Obituary For Lesley Carroll Green

Pastor Lesley Carroll Green was born on February 27, 1951, in West, Mississippi, to the late Alfred Green III and Gracie (Redmon) Green. He received his formal education from Rust College in Holly Spring, MS. and Moody Bible College, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies.

Pastor LC Green received his calling to ministry at New Hope Church of God in Christ, where he served as a devoted minister until God called him to pastor in 1998. God led him to Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he started Divine Temple with his wife and family.

Pastor Green served as Pastor of Divine Temple Church of God in Christ for 23 years. He also served his community by working with city officials, the local judicial system, and area schools. As an advocate for all people, he was influential in bringing the first NAACP chapter to the city of Green Bay. In September of 1974, Pastor Green was united in marriage to Alice Davis. He loved spending time with his wife and children. Pastor Green truly enjoyed his life to the fullest and radiated the love of Christ to all he met. In addition to all his acts of service, Pastor Green enjoyed singing, cruising around the city in his favorite ride, and communicating on his CB radio. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.

Pastor LC Green departed his life on December 16, 2021. Pastor Green was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred III and Gracie (Redmon) Green; his son, Darnell Deering; a brother, JW Redmon; a sister Carey Seamster, a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Davis, two brothers-in-law, Christopher Davis and Edward Davis.

Pastor Green is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Alice J. Green, three sons Ronnell (Kristie) Deering, Alfred (Sacha) Green, and Jeremious Garcia Green; three daughters, Leslie Ousley (Shannon Ingrim), Grace Green, and Patience Garcia Green; One sister Faye Green of West, Mississippi, MS.; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews.
