Obituary For Lessia Elaine Hart Hairston

Lessia Elaine Hart Hairston, 68 of Cascade, VA passed December 30, 2021. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7,2022 at Charity Apostolic Church, Reidsville, NC with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

First Lady/Co-Pastor Lessia Elaine Hart Hairston was born on April 30, 1953, to Charlie Hart and Dorothy Hart. She departed her life on December 30, 2021, at Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was a graduate of Reidsville Senior High School Class of 1971. She was employed for Pittsylvania County Waste Company. Elaine was also a foster parent, caregiver and former CNA.

Lessia was married to Bishop Joe Louis Hairston where they attended Emmanuel Holiness Church of Cascade, VA. She had a passion for Christ as she operated as Choir Director for 26 years.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Sharon McCain, brother, Bobby Hart, nephews, William Fulp and Orlando Fulp, great grandson, Aiden Polk, great granddaughter, Deandra Jefferson.

Left to cherish her memories: her husband; Bishop Joe Louis Hairston, sons; Shaun Watkins, Sr. and Jashaun Hairston, daughter; Tosha Martin, grandchildren; Shada Watkins, Larry Stokes, Jr., Rakeem Martin, Taija Martin, Troy Lee Martin, Jr., Shaun L. Watkins, Jr., Shyheim Watkins, Arnesha Watkins. Sister; Gloria Fulp-Jones, nieces and nephew; Renae Fulp, Faye Herbin, Brian Keith Harris, 24 great grandchildren, stepchildren; Thomas Hairston, Timothy Hairston and Rachael Hairston a host of other relatives and friends.
