Obituary For Sylvia Jean Brim Battle

Sylvia Jean Brim Battle, 81, of Eden, NC passed December 30,2021. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. A graveside service will be held 2: 00 p.m. Thursday January 6,2021 at Eden Garden Cemetery, Eden, NC.

Sylvia began her earthly journey on September 7, 1940, in Eden, NC. She was the oldest and only girl of seven brothers. On Thursday, December 30, 2021 she transitioned into a life of eternal rest and peace.

As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, was educated in the local school system. In 1972 she married Cleveland Battle, her husband of 23 years. Sylvia was a former employee of Fieldcrest Mills of Eden, NC and Slvin of Reidsville, NC. She loved going to church, going out to eat and shopping with her special friend, Mrs. Yvonne Perkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories: stepdaughter; Yvonne Battle of Eden, NC, stepson; Terry Battle of Newport Richie, FL, foster daughter; Penny Hampton-Bridges of Reidsville, NC, foster grandson; Daniel Cooper of Reidsville, NC, nephew; Anthony Wendell Brim of Peterburg, VA, niece; Wanda Brim of Eden, NC, sister-in-law; Margie H. Brim of Reidsville, NC, a host of other relatives and friends.
