Obituary For James "Jimmy" William Clark

James Clark, 72, of Axton, VA passed January 03,2022. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Perry Spencer Memorial Chapel, Eden, NC. Burial will follow at Gospel Light Holiness Church Cemetery, Axton, VA.

Mr. James William Clark, affectionately known as "Jimmy" transitioned from this life-to-life eternal on Monday, January 3, 2022, in Axton, Virginia

He was a native and lifelong resident of Henry County,m Axton, Virginia. He was born on January 8, 1949, to the late John L. Clark, Sr. and Mrs. Annie B. Clark in Henry County, Virginia. He was an employee of Hooker Furniture until the close of the company. He is also an employee of Procter * gamble in Stoneville, NC.

He was a die-hard New York Jets and North Carolina State Wolfpack fan. He was a man of few words but when you could get him to talk, he would talk.

He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Clark, Sr., mother, Annie B. Clark, brothers, Elder Edward Hairston and John L. Clark, Jr., and sisters, Callie M. Clark and Mary E. Perkins.

He leaves to cherish is memory: sons, Kelvin J. Foye of Axton, Virginia and JaCorey J. Clark of the home, daughter, Kerri D. Foye of Axton, Virginia and sisters, Julia E. Scales (Sherman) of Eden, North Carolina and Sandra K. Cabiness (Kirkwood) of Greensboro, NC, grandchildren and a special friend, Floretta Thomas, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
