Obituary For Roy Davis

Mr. Roy Edward Davis was born October 19, 1950 in Gaston County to the late Julius and Janie R. Davis. He transitioned from his earthly home on January 4, 2022 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Roy or Camp, as he was affectionately called, attended South Point High School in Belmont, North Carolina. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Belmont, North Carolina. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Post 180 American Legion in Belmont, North Carolina. Camp loved walking and dancing. He was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers and was known as the candy man to the kids in the neighborhood. He will be truly missed.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters: El Willie Wilson and Myra Davis and a brother: Charles Davis.

Precious memories shall forever be cherished by his wife of 50 years: Deborah Davis; a son: Dominick Davis (Sallie) of Charlotte, North Carolina; a daughter: Jamila Davis of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Stewart and Regan Davis both of Charlotte, North Carolina; a sister: Lillian Caldwell (Kenneth) of Camp Springs, Maryland; his brothers: Lonnie Davis (Valeria) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Linwood Davis of Belmont, North Carolina; his mother-in-law: Edith Mack and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Private service will be held by the family and masks are required.
