"Paco" became my friend back in the 70's when we both flew for Eastern Airlines. He always brought a smile and an immediate feeling that the flight would be a good one just because he was on board. I lost contact with him quite some time ago but I will always cherish the memories and respect him as one of Eastern best pilots. My mother also said he was such a sweet gentleman, so I hope they will meet again in Heaven.

I only knew Paco in passing as a fellow crew member at United Airlines but,as was always the case with our transient lifestyle, the limited times we had in Operations or some airport hallway were always filled with warm greetings and good cheer. He was a gentleman whose engagement with you made you wish for more time with him.He will be missed by many.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Sulmers family. Paco was one of my mentors in the Organization of Black Airline Pilots and I will be forever grateful for the support he gave to all of us aspiring pilots. He has paved the way for so many of us! Sincerely, Stephanie Hartsfield (American Airlines Pilot)

I first had the pleasure of meeting my dearly departed friend Georges/ "Paco" as a new hire to the airline industry over 50 years ago. At the time he was among the premier wave of the black airline pilots ever employed in the industry. Harkening back i can still remember him welcoming me as a flight attendant with his obvious professionalism coupled with a warm and engaging smile. We became friends and remained so for the following years. Paco had an unmistakable laugh with a booming voice that was easily recognizable. An easily conversationalist and loyal friend, he was a gentleman, aviator, and friend who will be truly missed. Monica Allison Dothard.

George was my brother, Bruce's, best friend growing up in Park Slope are of Brooklyn, NY. Our families became like one although we were originally from different cultural backgrounds. George was always larger than life from the time we were all young. He always presented himself as invincible, a really tough kid---and a gifted soccer player. He was a centerpiece among his own. Everybody looked up to him. No man is perfect, but he was always committed to being a steadfast man stepping forward---and winning--- in situations where most would look the other way. His influences will stay with me forever. God is good...all the time.

Georges/ Paco, was a great fun person to be around. He was a fun loving silly guy who also had a very serious side. He was always listening and aware of what was going on. He was one of the most charismatic people. He could blend in well in almost any crowd and then get someone's contact. I am so sorry that he is no longer with us. I am sorry for my sister and her children and all his family! We are all connected as one family and his passing shows the bond we all have for each other. Georges and I had many deep conversations over the years and even if we didn't agree, we always respected each other's opinions and each other as a person. Georges was a great man who will be missed by many! He was so kind and fun with my children and wife. I remember meeting him as a young person when Gail brought him to meet our Dad on vacation together. He has changed throughout the years but always stayed the same as well. His convictions and morals were made of steel and I always respected that. He was a brother in law, a friend, and a guy who was great to just shoot the breeze or a big idea around. Anton Gross
