Obituary For Jessie Washington

Mr. Jessie Melvin Washington, fourth of eight children born, April 18, 1956 to the late John Wesley Washington and the late Lucy L. Conaway Washington. Educated in Lowndes County School System, he loved sewing, cooking and of course talking.

God called Jessie to eternal rest on Friday morning, January 7, 2022.

Jessie was preceded in death along with his parents; his wife Regina Moss Washington; sister Frances Washington, brother Joe Donaldson and niece Victoria Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Jessica (Kenneth) Sherck of Ray City, Georgia, Danielle and Miayelle Washington of Valdosta, Georgia; three sisters Annie J. Miller of Lakeland, Georgia, Easter (William) Elliott of Valdosta, Georgia and Deloise Green (Deceased); four brothers Johnny Washington, Milton (Shirley) Washington, Ben (Deloise) Washington and J.C. (Gloria) Gardner all of Valdosta, Georgia; one uncle Kelsey Washington of Valdosta, Georgia; two aunts Earlene Washington of Valdosta, Georgia and Barbara Washington of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service for Mr. Jessie Washington will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 11:00 A.M. at Troupeville Cemetery with Pastor George W. Blunt officiating. If you are unable to attend the service please join us on scottandrobertsmortuary.com to witness the home going service of Mr. Jessie Washington.
