Obituary For Mr. Charlie Ceabon Boykin Jr.

Mr. Boykin was born in Rome Georgia on October 2, 1960 to the late Charlie Seabon Boykin, Sr. and Rozine Boykin-White. He was the oldest of four children. Mr. Boykin was attended the Floyd County Schools and graduated from Model High School in 1978. After graduation, he attended Floyd College and Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Mr. Boykin discovered a talent in working with his hands. He began working in construction at an early age in the community then moved to Atlanta, Georgia and began working with his Uncle George. Mr. Boykin later landed a job with Post Construction Company while in Atlanta. He work with this company for over 10 years before returning to Rome, Georgia. Upon returning to Rome, Mr. Boykin continued his career in construction working for various entities.

Mr. Boykin was passionate about his work. If he built or remolded something for you, you knew the job top notch craftsmanship. Mr. Boykin hands were gifted, and he loved to whittle, and he created many beautiful items. He gifted some with his one-of-a-kind clocks.

Mr. Boykin was preceded in death by his father (Charlie Seabon Boykin, Sr.).

Mr. Boykin is survived by his four children: two sons: Seneka (Schylar) Watts of Rome, Georgia, and Terrance Allen of Eufaula, Alabama; and two daughters: Shenita (Patrick Huntley) of Cartersville, Georgia and LaToya Tutt of Rome, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; mother: Rozine Boykin-White of Rome, Georgia; two sisters: Cynita Boykin of Rome, Georgia, and Twyler Boykin of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and one brother; Stanish Boykin of Rome, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Public viewing will be Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 12 noon until 5 pm and Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10 am until 12 noon at F. K. Jones Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at 1 pm Friday, January 14, 2022 at Morning View Cemetery.
