On behalf of the Canty family, words cannot express the sadness we felt when we received the news of Sam's passing. The Mingo and Canty families formed a friendship many years ago beginning with Sam Mingo, Sr. and Henry Canty and remained throughout all the generations to date. Therefore, we do not have to tell you how much we loved and cherished Sam's friendship because you already know. We will deeply miss him, and we send all our love and prayers to you. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that Sam's legacy of friendship, love and kindness will live on forever. From Maggie, Freda, Roy, Reggie and Sammie.

Words can't express the sadness I had when I heard the news of Sam's transitioning from earth to heaven. Sam was a well-known businessman throughout the DC Metropolitan area. His gorgeous smile will always be remembered, which was how he greeted everyone he came in contact with. His thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity will also be remembered to those he helped along the way. Cousin your fabric of love will forever be in my heart." Respectfully submitted by: Linda D.
