Roni graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD in 1967. She was never married and had no children of her own, but she was a role model for many little girls in her family. Revered for her beautiful spirit, independent nature, sharp tongue, fierce fashion sense and love for life, she very appropriately earned the nickname “Killah” as a young woman. She worked for many years in the insurance industry and later in life became an operator for a hospital and Doctor’s answering service. She retired from Holy Cross Hospital as a phone operator in September, 2018. After the passing of her mother and retirement, Roni moved to North Carolina where she spent the last years of her life in quiet reflection. She discovered she had pancreatic cancer in early December, 2021 and she passed on January 9, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her brother: Gary Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Dorothy Hebron, Peggy Moore, Wade Jr., Maxine (Delores) Lynn, Jacki Davis, Evelyn Davis, Thomas Davis, Tyrone Davis, Mvelyn Pearson, Rita Chambers and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins; an aunt: Beatrice Jackson, an uncle: William Hebron; two special nieces: Chyna Gerald and Stacey Davis, and other relatives.
All services will be held at a later date by the family.
