My friend, Reginal, has gone and left us. He was the last of the Cloud band that was known throughout the Houses of Prayer in the south. Some of the northern bands had heard of the Dallas group. He could play jazz, rock and spiritual. I remember him many nights playing alone with a piano accomplishment while many of the members were enjoying and praising in the spirit. Even after he became sick he still played that sax. He'll certainly be missed. I played with that band a few time as a sit in. So long Redner. My condolence to the family of Mr. James Cloud who was a neighbor in my community. I grew up with his children and his oldest daughter Cynthia was my roommate in college. He always spoke with a soft voice if not he would wave. A friendly man who will be missing. Your horn was your pride and joy and that was your talent from God. RIP Mr. Cloud, We the community will miss you! Debra Bratton-McBride
