Kirby Javan Murvin was born on August 30, 1956 to his lovely mother, Betty Murvin and and the late devoted father, Larence Murvin, Sr,. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Curtez Murvin.

He went to Andrews High School. He was in the United States Air Force. Kirby was a man who was very authentic and genuine. He never met a stranger, anyone who approached him knew right away he was an intelligent individual displaying strength and commitment to his identity. He had an infectious laughter and impacted anyone who encountered his presence, and he will be deeply missed.

Kirby Murvin is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Murvin; his three children, Shakeer Antoinette McNair( Jimmy), Kirby Javan Williams, Gabriel Scott Murvin; his mother, Betty Murvin; grandchildren, Jerral McNair and Janell McNair; siblings,Larence (Tearsa) Murvin, Jr., Kimberly Lynn Murvina , Mark (Tyke) Murvin and Dr. Euart (Keith) Murvin; and a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Kirby we will miss you and we love you.

Funeral service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
