Obituary For Roger L. Witcher, Jr.

Roger Witcher, 55, of Flatrock Dr, Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at SOVAH Health Hospital- Martinsville. Born in Rocky Mount, VA on February 4, 1966, to Roger L. Witcher, Sr. and Judy Witcher Lofton.

Roger attended Burgard Vocational High School in Buffalo, NY. Later, he became an Auto Mechanic and Appliance Repair. He also was a car detailer for D&D Detailing. Roger was a diehard New England Patriots fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include: two daughters, Chantelle Moyer and Kenisha Hubbard both of Martinsville, VA; two sons, Ontaya "Tayo" Gravely and Brandon Rudd both of Martinsville, VA; four sisters, Berlinda Witcher and Tilwanza (James) Upshaw both of Buffalo, NY, Leisha Witcher and Michelle Witcher both of Columbus, Ohio; three stepsisters; eight grandchildren; his big brother/uncle, Dennis "Stuff" Holland of Martinsville, VA; three special aunts, Alberta Jones, Annie Holland (Dennis) Mahan and Marie Hairston all of Martinsville, VA; one special nephew, one niece, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home, the funeral will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Elder Alan Preston, Eulogist. Burial will follow at Flatrock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering, and social distancing is required. All other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home of his aunt and uncle, Annie Holland (Dennis) Mahan, 106 Village St., Martinsville, VA. The family ask that when visiting the home, to observe all CDC guidelines.
