Obituary For Allie D Clark

Allie D. Clark was born August 11, 1930 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She was the third born child of the late Hosey "Dock" Burt and the late Bessie Nash Burt.

In 1943, she met Rubin Clark who she would later marry. The couple united in holy matrimony on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1949 in Kosciusko at the home of her parents. On December 26, 2009, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in front of family and friends with a vow renewal ceremony. They remained married for nearly 72 years until death did them part. Rubin preceded her in death on November 10, 2021. She cherished being the wife of "Mr. Clark" as she would affectionally call him and often said, "I married my husband for life." Seven children blessed this union. Her eldest son, Dwight Clark preceded her in death on June 23, 2020.

Allie D. joined Palestine M.B. Church at an early age where she baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. R.L. Silas. She remained a faithful and dedicated member for many years working in various ministries where she put her skills, talents and compassion for others to good use in service to the kingdom of God. She believed in the upkeep of God's House and freely provided this service to the church. In January 2019, she united with the Christian Liberty M.B. Church under Pastor Marvin K. Myles where she said God directed her to go for her final days. When children were in her presence, she would light up like a bright shining star. Allie D. devoted much of her life to raising, caring for, and teaching children. She studied and earned degrees and certifications in Early Childhood Development. She worked as a teacher for the Head Start Program in Attala County, Mississippi for 31 years.

She was active in her community which included memberships in civic organizations and providing support for those in need. Allie D. was a long-time member of Eastern Star (O.E.S. Chapter 106) where many of her sisters preceded her in death. She was also known for preparing meals, providing transportation, and caring for the sick. Allie D. believed in nurturing friendships and remaining close to lifelong friends, many of whom also preceded her in death. She took great pride in caring for her home, family, friends and community. Her home was a gathering place for many holidays and special occasions especially on Thanksgiving Day.

Allie D. will forever be fondly remembered for her generous spirit and beautiful smile.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three sons, Randy (Nannette) Clark of McAdams, MS; Charlie (Joyce) Clark of Jackson, MS and Tyrone Clark of Terry, MS and three daughters: Margrett Davis of Jackson, MS; Gloria Keeler of Austin, TX and Mechell Clark McCrary of Columbus, GA. Words can't begin to express the love I feel for my dear Aunt Allie Dee. Every summer as a child I always stayed at her house. She made the best food and never failed to send me home with some brown bagged fried chicken. Even when she met my youngest daughter Aunt, she wanted her to sit right by her side and pinched her cheeks as she often did mine as a child. She will always be in my heart. God has given me another Angel to look in on me and protect me.🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️
