Obituary For Wallace Overton Greene, Sr.

Wallace O. Greene, Sr., 86, of Henrico, died January 15, 2022. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Nathaniel Pollard. Surviving are his wife, Margaret P. Greene; three daughters, Jackquline Greene, Vanessa Chestnut (John) and Valerie Finney (Vience); two sons, Wallace O. Jr. and Rodney L. Greene, Sr.: 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law; host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Friday, January 28 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29 at Trinity Baptist Church 2811Fendall Ave. Rev. A. Lincoln James, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Greene I've taken on the name to be called Greene and little did I know how Green I could be. I stumbled along the way preparing for my journey. I've paved the way to make it a smooth elevation. Even though some of my edges where rough I've managed to spot the heavy loads and place it on the side of the road to be laid off. And as I got to those bumps and bruises it was easy for me to ride. You see My Father name is Greene just like the pastures of Psalms 23 Where it is said "The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. I was heartbroken when I heard that our world had lost a shinning star, but heaven has gained him. I enjoyed so many fun moments with cousin Wallace especially during the entertainment hour at our Roane-Greene Family Reunions when he would bring a smile to so many Family members faces.
