A time to be born:
Deaconess Alice Virginia Washington Brunson was born to the late Ned and the late Lizzie Thompson Washington on February 27, 1927.
A time to die:
She began her new life in Glory to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, GA.
Deaconess Brunson was a graduate of the Old Colored School; Fairfax, South Carolina. She married the love of her life the late Joshua Brunson, Sr. and to this union five children were born. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered, for her kind and humble spirit.
Deaconess Brunson was a strong woman who loved God! At an early age, she joined and became a baptized member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church; Fairfax, South Carolina. She served until her passing.
Deaconess Brunson was a member of Capers Lodge #4, Brunson, SC. She was the recording secretary, for several years.
"Ms. Alice," or "Lil Ma," as she was fondly called, had her share of gifts and talents. She enjoyed cooking. You could always count on her to have a meal prepared daily for her family. She was also a hair stylist in her own rights.
She will also be remembered for her loving, and caring personality. She always gave her utmost support to her family and friends.
In addition, to her husband and her parents, she is preceded in death by (1) Daughter: Joshlin Brunson; (3) Brothers: S.B. Brown, James H. Washington, and Willie Washington.
Deaconess Brunson leaves to cherish memories, (1) Daughter: Betty (Henry) Council; (2) Sons: Rudolph Brunson, and Joshua (Willa) Brunson; Daughter: Lutrell (Larry) Forester; (15) Grandchildren: Tonya (Damon) Hale, Vicky Johnson, Quinton Council, all reared in the home; Petula B. (Murray) Riley, Venus B. (Nathaniel) Brooks, Latecka B. (Carlos) Gantt, Trench (Keisha) Brunson, Ruddie (Stephanie) Brunson, Christie Ritchie, Ashley (Anthony) Estes, Jamie (Wanda) Brunson, Aime Brunson, Larry B. (Latoya) Forester, Lonzo Forester, Lauren (Frank) Perry; (31) Great- Grandchildren; (5) Great Great-Grandchildren; (2) Special Nieces: Gloria Wilson and Deloris Parker; (1) Special Nephew: Kenneth Williams; (1) Brother-In-Law: James (Mildred) Brunson; (3) Special Cousins: Rebecca Sims, Hazel Whitlock, and Barbara Taylor. A host of other loving family members and devoted friends.
